Married life calls for a lot of adjustments and compromises. Whenever we have heard about the relationship of a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law it’s always spoken about as a relationship with friction, but here’s a different story where the daughter-in-law speaks about the beautiful bond she shares with her mother-in-law.
I started the conversation by asking Leena, who is that one person apart from your husband you are close to? Without a second thought, she says, “My mother-in-law is the go to person even when Sagar is around.
The bond we share is totally unique. Our relationship is that of best friends. She has done a lot of things for me, which I will always be grateful for.” Oh! That’s great! Any special memory with her that you would like to share with us? With full of enthusiasm, she says, “There are many memories that are beautiful but to specify a particular one, it will be from the time we went for wedding shopping. From bindi to lehenga, everything was of her choice. She is like a very close friend to me and I am so grateful to God for blessing me with the best mother-in-law.” Aww! So cute!
After knowing her bond with her mother-in-law, I was very much excited to know about Leena and Sagar’s relationship. I ask Sagar, what made you accept Leena’s interest. He says, “I was viewing her profile and was really impressed. I was about to send her an interest but at that time I got a call. While I was on the call, I got a notification from the BharatMatrimony app which was a request from Leena. I was surprised at the coincidence.” Woah! On the other hand, when I ask Leena, what made her think he could be the one, she says, “The moment I saw his pic I felt some connection. Sagar’s profile seemed perfect. That’s how we connected.” And that’s how cute their start was!
Who proposed first? On hearing this question Leena giggles and says, “Sagar proposed to me in such a romantic way. He had planned for a meet up with his friends and I was really excited to meet them. I reached the place and Sagar welcomed me with a bouquet of roses. That was the first time I saw his romantic side.” Cute! How did you propose to her? I ask Sagar. “I had bought a gold ring for her and arranged everything in the restaurant before we went for lunch.” Leena interrupts him insisting that she wants to narrate the proposal, “It was such an amazing lunch and after a while Sagar walked in with a cake and his friends had posters in their hand which read, ‘will you marry me’? Sagar went down on his knee and proposed to me for marriage? Of course I said ‘Yes’. Everyone around clapped and it was such an amazing feeling.” Isn’t this the dream proposal of every girl?
