Venkatesh and Yazhini got connected through BharatMatrimony and bonded over phone conversations. This persuaded him to visit Kolkata to meet his love for the first time. “I was a bit nervous to talk to him in person. He was quiet in the beginning but after a while we surprisingly got comfortable. I took him around Kolkata to show him a glimpse of all my favourite places. It meant a lot to me that he travelled all the way from Chennai just to meet me. Who wouldn’t fall for a man like him? We bonded well on our first day out together itself and also realized that we are meant for each other. Soon we decided to get married with our parents’ blessings,” Yazhini begins with a smile.
Luckily, she got a job transfer to Chennai before their marriage. And Venkatesh did not miss a tiny possibility to surprise her. He indeed sent her gifts four days before her birthday. She says, “He made me feel very special. He surprised me again on my birthday. I was at work on that day when I received a call from him asking me to come to a restaurant. He and my family were waiting for me with a cake. It was the best birthday of my life and we had a wonderful time together with cake cutting and dining.”
Yazhini firmly believes that marriage is all about supporting each other through thick and thin. “It is all about cherishing the flowery moments together but standing strong with one another in difficult circumstances.” She also says about the things that she loves about Venkatesh, “He pays attention to everything I say. He has a good sense of humour, which is what made me comfortable in the first place. And he bonded well with my family, especially with my mom.”
Togetherness is a pleasant feeling and we have that!
Recollecting some memories from their honeymoon, she says, “We went on an adventurous trip to Switzerland and Paris for six beautiful days. We visited many places enjoying nature and this trip made our bond stronger. It gave us a chance to know each other well. As we both love to explore and try different things together, we happened to meet many interesting people during our journey.”
We wish Yazhini and Venkatesh to have many more surprising moments in life!
