“I have always been a Bollywood buff since my childhood. From wanting a husband like Amitabh Bachchan from the movie Baghban to a family like in the movie Hum Saath Saath Hai, that's how I imagined my life to be when I get married," begins the excited Priti.
As it was Tushar who made the first move, I ask Priti what she liked about his profile? "His description was short and crisp. We had a lot of similarities and we both love traveling. Our family backgrounds were also similar. I thought it would be good to get to know him and accepted his interest.
Right after that, I get a call from an unknown number, and it was Tushar. That one call changed everything. We spoke for 3 days and on the 4th day we decided to meet." Cute!
So where was your first meet? How excited were you to meet him? "I was super excited. We met at Starbucks and had endless conversations. I was completely flattered the moment I saw him. He looked so handsome." Priti had something to add, "He even dropped me back home, which was so sweet of him. I had totally fallen in love with him. Tushar was just more than perfect for me and I was sure about him."
I then ask the excited Priti if she gets a chance to relive a particular day which one will it be? "So it was my first birthday after our engagement and I had to go to Pune for official work. Tushar celebrated my birthday the previous night by taking me out for a candle light dinner and a movie date. My bus was at 7am in the morning and while I was waiting for my bus, I saw Tushar walking towards me. I thought I was dreaming but no he was there. He bought a big bouquet of roses, went down on his knee and proposed to me for marriage with a diamond ring. I was completely surprised and was on cloud nine. I immediately said a ‘yes’." Aren't they just couple goals?
I ask Tushar to share one special memory from their wedding, to which he says, "Seeing the love of my life in the most beautiful attire made my heart skip a beat. I had planned for a surprise dance for her but I wanted her to know a few steps. During the saath phere, while the rituals were going on, I taught her a few steps and that is something both of us will remember. We had our first couple dance together."
Towards the end of the conversation, I ask Priti to give a piece of advice to singles who are looking for a life partner, "If you like someone meet the person and get to know each other well. See how compatible you are with each other and if your life goals align. Only when you are sure of spending the entire life together, take it further.”
Wishing Them a Lifetime of Happiness!
