The Rohi Villa palace at Pune indeed looked like a paradise, bringing together beautiful men and women in the record-making marriage-meet. Here, at Swayamvar, a printed booklet, which had all the details of the participants was given and depending upon their personal preferences, the bride-to-be and groom-to-be could walk up to the selected persons and have an informal chat. The participants came in large numbers not only from Mumbai and Pune but also from the neighbouring towns. They included the most sought after in marriage like doctors, software professionals and chartered accountants.

Horoscope matching was also done at the venue as part of the services. There were astrologers and face readers to predict the future of the participants.
