When you're on a honeymoon, chances are you'll be blind to most things besides your better half. The following are some tips to make your honeymoon as hassle free and pleasurable as possible. Plan in advance to avoid complications and a frustrated trip.

Dress The Part

Pack all your coats and jackets in your baggage when possible. All coats and jackets must go through the X-ray machine for inspection. These include, but are not limited to, trench coats, heavy winter coats, suit jackets, sport coats and blazers. If you choose to wear an outer coat or jacket to the checkpoint, you will need to either place it in your carry-on or put it in the bin that is provided for you.

In addition, certain clothing and accessories can set off an alarm on the metal detector and slow you down. Avoid wearing clothing, jewellery or other accessories that contain metal when travelling through the security checkpoints:

Heavy jewellery (including pins, necklaces, bracelets, rings, watches, earrings, body piercing, cuff links, lanyards or bolo ties)
Clothing with metal buttons, snaps or studs
Metal hair barrettes or other hair decoration
Belt buckles
Under-wire bras
Take metal items such as keys, loose change, mobile phones, pagers, and personal data assistants (PDAs) out of your pockets.
Place heavy jewellery and other metal items in your carry-on baggage or in plastic bags if they are offered, until you clear security.

Travel Tips
Deciding the pros and cons and balancing it with your budget should give you at least 2 destinations.
Present your 2 options to your travel agent so that he can come up with a good travel package that suits your needs.
Once you've decided on a destination, decide on how many days you're going to take off for.
If you're total honeymoon period is for 1 week, be sure to leave out Day 1 and Day 7, as these 2 days will fly by with packing and travelling.
This leaves you 5 days to relax and enjoy yourself, and plan your sightseeing.
