Mr. Janakiraman Murugavel was honored by The Asian Indian Chamber of Commerce (AICC) with the 'Top 5 Under-35 South Asians' award for his achievements and contributions both as a young businessman and a world citizen. The award is intituted as an acknowledgement and appreciation for the outstanding achievements of entrepreneurs of the South Asian community in the US under the age of 35. The ceremony was held at the Royal Albert Palace in Fords, New Jersey.

AICC is a non-profit organization, catering to the entrepreneurial and business needs of the growing Asian Indian community in the US. It upholds and operates on the simple motto that "None of us is as strong as ALL of us." The organization has over 350 members whose combined gross revenue in earnings in excess of $ 1.2 billion and has representation in several industries including Construction, Finance, Legal, Hospitality, Insurance, Medical, Pharmaceutical, Telecommunications, Trade and Retail.


In this context it is interesting to note that the India Today Group had also recently honored Mr. Murugavel Janakiraman with their SIGARAM-15 Business Icon award, an award that honors people who devise, design and alter the course of events in their respective areas of work and truly change the lives of people. Mr. Janakiraman became one of the youngest ever to receive this award.
